Jose Lopez
Founder / Director

Playing career
Jose has been involved with tennis since he first picked up a racquet when he was 8 years old. Jose began playing in Ipswich and moving up the fixtures ladder every season. By the time Jose was 12 he was already playing in junior tournaments, though his record was not great to start with losing in the first round of many of the tournaments he played. When he realised that he needed to include more match play (under mental pressure) to his training program, he developed more confidence. Once he had more confidence under pressure the results started to show, quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals.
But when Jose was just 16 he had his first serious injury, a knee dislocation which put Jose out for 8 months. When he tried to make a return he couldn't quite get to the same level again.
But that was when he found his true calling was in coaching young players looking to build a future in tennis.
Coaching career
Jose started coaching at UQ St Lucia at the age of 18. It was not long before he was one of the most popular coaches there, coaching juniors right through to adults & seniors. After coaching at UQ for 3 years he moved on to Pure Tennis Academy, where he got to work with players looking to take their tennis on the pro tour. Jose coached juniors through to adults and was in charge of the fitness program for juniors to elite players.
Jose has coached in some of Brisbane's leading tennis academy's/clubs UQ St Lucia, Pure Tennis Academy: St Hilda's, Mt Gravatt & Queensland Tennis Centre.
Jose is now pursuing his dream of running his own tennis business and giving kids the opportunities he wished he had as an aspiring tennis player.

Hi I'm Callum!
A tennis coach with an sizeable background in the game. With 15 years of playing experience and 3 years of coaching under my belt, I have seamlessly transitioned from a skilled player to a dedicated mentor through my love for the game.
Hailing from Brisbane, my journey in tennis began at a young age, where I quickly became a solid player in local tournaments. Drawing from my 15 years on the court, my coaching style is marked by a sound understanding of the game's intricacies.
In my three years as a coach, I have proven to be a guiding force for aspiring players. My coaching philosophy prioritizes not only technical proficiency but also the development of mental resilience and teamwork. I try my best to focus my coaching approach to each individual player's strengths and weaknesses and in doing so, create an environment where athletes can flourish.
